About Gods Own Junkyard

The inspiration for this font came from Chris “The Neon Man” Bracey, a British designer and artist known for owning one of the largest collections of neon signs and sculptures outside the United States.

Chris operated his own studio called Gods Own Junkyard in Walthamstow, north-east London. Sadly, he passed away on November 1, 2014, at the age of 59, from prostate cancer.

In the UK, numerous men receive a prostate cancer diagnosis, with some unfortunately receiving it at an advanced stage. My grandfather was among those diagnosed, and he bravely battled the disease for many years.

During the font's first year of existence, I donated all profits https://www.standuptocancer.org.uk/.

While I never knew Chris personally, I greatly admire his work and his fighting spirit.

Gods Own Junkyard is a neon-style typeface that pays homage to him. When combined with my Photoshop action, it can quickly create a realistic neon effect.

The font includes 92 glyphs in total, covering uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and some punctuation. It is available in OTF format.

If Gods Own Junkyard Were a Celebrity

Just as Chris Hemsworth is known for his rugged good looks and down-to-earth charm, the God's Own Junkyard font would be recognized for its bold and eye-catching design, capable of grabbing attention and leaving a lasting impression.
